General info:

this is how the restaurant look like from the outside

Dresscode!

Ambience:
Pretty cozy. The place is rather dimly lit... with someone playing easy tunes on the grand piano. Ideal for a romantic dinner with your significant other!

Ever wonder why this place is called The View? let the view do the talking! (bad pun but you get it! LOL!)

Poolview by night!!

Giddy yet? LOL!

Food Quality:
The food here is sooo much better than you-know-where *koff koff Traders koff* Methinks that cake lovers will love this place, as there are so many mouth watering cakes to choose from! Other than that, the salmon is divine. Oysters are super fresh. Finger food rather tasty too! Let the pictures do the talking! and oh yeah... the fondue sauce is greattttttttttttttt!!

Guess whats this?

Fondue!!!

Cakes

Cakes

and more cakes! (i know the strawberries and cream thingy is not cake.. but lets just pretend that its not there k! :P)

My favourite corner... RAW FOOD! LOL :P

Foooood glorious food!

Finger food

Dunno whats this.. don't taste too good :P

Tomato and Tuna!

Lamb and *i think* Lotus Leaves.. Yum!!

Even the bread looks soo appetizing! (too hard in real life though!)

I ordered the Fillet of King Cod... its sooooo goood!!! (abit dry cuz overgrilled i think.. but delicious nevertheless!)

Service:
Service was prompt and efficient... other than the fact that 1 of their staff kept on disturbing me by asking stupid questions like, "you like to take pictures huh?", "you want me to take a picture of you sitting at the piano?" and God forbid, "Would you like to take a picture of the restaurant manager?". i just gave him a dry smile and walked away.

Price:
Definitely pricey, but you get what you pay for.

Overall:
A great place to splurge on once in a (very long) while! :)

Here's the menu in case any one of you is interested!

Hi Jean,

I like The View and also classified it as Fine dining as well. I love their dessert especially the tiramisu, it is one of the best in Penang.
